Did you know that research has shown that several common whole foods may reduce blood pressure?

🫐 Berries are at the top of the list. Blueberries and strawberries, high in anthocyanins seem to have the greatest impact.

🍌 Bananas are high in potassium which plays a vital role in managing blood pressure.

♥️ Beetroot is rich in nitrate which helps lower blood pressure and is great for your blood vessels.

🥝 Kiwis, high in vitamin C, have been shown to reduce blood pressure for people with mild hypertension.

🍉 Watermelon contains an amino acid citrulline, which helps the body produce nitric oxide which in turn helps lower blood pressure.

🥬 Green leafy vegetables are also rich in nitrates.

🧄 Research suggests that garlic also increases nitric oxide production.

🌾 Oats have also attracted the attention of researchers. They contain beta-glucan, which has been shown in trials to lower both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
